Raids
Taking a group to a field raid boss: finding or forming the group, the Raid Plan, the trip, the fight and the loot.
In this guide: Ways in · A raid, start to finish · Which page do I need
Raids are their own part of the wiki. A party for the raid comes from Party mechanics; jobs inside it are on Party jobs.
- Raids work single player. Sims fill every seat you do not, and every boss comes back in time.
- Sims raid only when a player starts the raid. They never take a boss down on their own.
- Every raid starts in a town.
- A killed boss comes back on its refresh bar. Other raid kills speed it up.
Ways into a raid
Every way pays the same: experience, loot, and kills that speed up the refresh bars for everyone.
| Way | How |
|---|---|
| Join a group the sims or a player are forming in town | Find Raid on the Raids tab, or .raid, lists them with a Join button. Type lf raid and leaders whisper you. Whisper a leader, or type .raid join <leader>, to join. See Finding and joining |
| Start your own | Get a party (.party fill, invites, or the party you have, your Constant Party included), then open the Raids tab or type .raid |
| Take your Constant Party on your own | Go to a boss and fight it without a Raid Plan. The kill still fills the refresh bars. No plan checks run, so the raid curse is yours to watch |
A raid, start to finish
| Step | You | The group |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Form | In a town, get a party or join a forming group | Up to 9 members |
| 2. Plan | Open the Raids tab, or type .raid. Pick a circuit or edit the plan, and pick a risk level |
The Plan tab lists the bosses this group can take. Fill closes the open seats |
| 3. Begin | Press Begin Raid | A 2 minute gathering window opens. Sim side parties walk in and everyone casts travel buffs |
| 4. Depart | Wait for the countdown, or Pause it | At zero, with the travel buffs out, the group leaves: Let's go. |
| 5. Travel | Between towns you take the gatekeeper. For the last leg, teleport or walk, as the Settings tab says. The sims ask at each gatekeeper | The group holds at each rally until every player is there |
| 6. Go | Press Go | Buff round, then everyone walks to the end of the route, at the boss |
| 7. Engage | Press Engage | The group attacks the boss |
| 8. After | Approve the next raid, or End Plan | The group rests, raises its dead and checks everyone fits the next raid. If the next boss is far, everyone escapes to town and waits for you there |
- Only the party leader edits and starts the plan. Other members see it read-only.
- After Begin, the circuit and the size of the force change only in a town.
- A raid group never leaves for a boss, or attacks one, without the leader’s Begin, Go and Engage.
- Grand bosses are not on the Raid Plan. It lists field raid bosses only.
