Between raids
With raids left on the plan, the run pauses after a kill. The party rests and raises its dead. Party chat names the next raid and who is not ready: dead, or low on health or mana. When everyone is ready it says “Everyone is ready. Next: Boss. Approve it, or change the plan.”
Getting to the next raid. If the next boss is a short run from where the group stands, the group runs to it. If it is not, everyone reads a Scroll of Escape back to town, and the group holds there:
Next: Boss. Head to Town.
Getting to that town is up to you, and a gatekeeper is the usual way. The sims never walk between towns on their own; they follow your teleport or your arrival. In the boss’s town the sims ask the teleport or walk question for the last leg, and Walk is offered only when that walk is short.
- Approve sends the party to the next rally.
- A next boss that is not in the world holds the approval: wait for it, drop it, or move another raid up.
- You can reorder or drop raids while paused. Sim side parties are built fresh for each raid, so they never stop the plan.
Loot
A raid boss’s or grand boss’s drops never touch the ground. They are dealt to the group that earned them.
- Experience, SP, minion drops and spoil work as normal.
- In a command channel, the kill’s experience and SP are shared across the channel’s members near the boss, as they are for one party.
Who is on the loot list.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| The winning group | The raid group (a command channel, or a lone party) that dealt the most damage over the whole fight. A party that joined late counts, earlier damage included. Every other group gets nothing |
| Players first | Every player in the winning group who is connected when the boss dies |
| Then sims | The sims of that group’s top-damage party who were there for most of the fight |
| Disconnected, with other players on the list | Not paid. That share goes to the reserve |
| The only player on the list, disconnected within 10 minutes of logging out | The share is held, and delivered when you log back in: “Your held raid loot was delivered.” After the 10 minutes, the items go to the reserve |
How it is dealt.
| Drop | Rule |
|---|---|
| An item stack | Dealt one unit at a time down the list: players first, in turn, then sims. A single item always goes to a player. The turn carries on to the next kill, so the same player is not always first |
| Adena | Split evenly over the whole list. The players’ shares are paid; the sims’ shares are not |
| Units dealt to sims | Go to the reserve |
The reserve.
- Held for one hour for the players on the list to buy back with adena. Items only.
- Priced at what the player stores sell it for now, never below what a store would pay. An item nobody trades cannot be bought.
.lootopens the Raid Loot page: your last kill, your own line, and the reserve..loot lastand.loot reservegive the same in chat, with the minutes left and each item’s id and price..loot buy <item id> [amount]buys from it.- Your own line says if you were paid, another group won the list, you were disconnected when the boss fell with others on the list (your share went to the reserve), or you were inside your party’s logout hold (you get it when you log back in).
The check between raids
After each boss kill, when another raid is on the plan, the whole force is checked against the next raid before anyone moves: your party (people and sims), any friend’s party on the plan, and the sim side parties.
| Check | Fails when |
|---|---|
| Curse line | Someone is more than 8 levels above the next raid’s weakest target. The page names the top level allowed |
| Experience | Someone is below the level where the kill still pays them experience |
| Everyone fits | Nothing changes. Press Approve when you are ready |
Someone does not fit: the plan stops, and Approve does nothing until you answer. The party hears one line:
“Stopped before Farakelsus: Mira is 31, over the curse line for Farakelsus (27).”
When the plan stops
Your choices come to you in chat, and the Raid Plan turns into a Stopped page with a button for each one that is possible.
| Choice | Chat | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Another raid | .raid switch <name or number> |
Lists the next raids the whole force fits, nearest your party’s level first. Go on one puts it first and the pause carries on |
| Bench | .raid bench |
Sims who do not fit sit this raid out. A sim who fits takes each seat: your own Constant Party sims near you first, then other sims, same job first, then nearest level |
| Ask | .raid ask |
The people who do not fit get a message asking them to sit this raid out. A friend’s party is asked once, through its leader |
| Go Anyway | .raid anyway |
The party is told the curse will turn those members to stone if they hit or cast at the boss, or at anyone fighting it. The stop does not come back for this raid |
| Case | What happens |
|---|---|
| Bench would take your only tank or healer, and no fitting one is close | Nothing is benched and you are told why |
| Nobody answers an Ask in 2 minutes | You are told. The other choices stay open |
| You are the one who does not fit | Nobody to ask. The note says so and counts how many raids on offer are out of range for your force |
| A person who does not fit | Never removed for you |
Constant Party sims and late changes
| Case | What happens |
|---|---|
| A Constant Party sim does not fit | It sits that raid out on its own, the party is told why, and a fitting sim takes the seat. No question is asked |
| That sim fits a later raid | At that pause it comes back: invited if it stands near you and there is a free seat, otherwise you are told it fits and that .summon brings it |
| That sim is still over the line | It stays out without a word. When the plan ends with a member still out, the party is told how to bring them back |
| Someone levels up during a raid | Caught at the next pause |
| The leader changes or logs out while the plan is stopped | The plan is dropped. The party hears that the stop went with it and which raid it was before. The leader opens the Raid Plan to start again. Nobody is removed |
